We at Zuchero Communications
believe that our mission is to make the information about your product,
service, or subject matter as elegantly simple and easy to understand as
possible so that your target audience or end user finds it clear, concise,
and most importantly helpful. To accomplish this, we follow a simple
common-sense methodology. When possible, we do the following:
-
Learn
about the audience/user. Are they technical, computer-savvy, or
do they need more explanation because they're novices?
-
Determine
the audience/user's needs. Why are they reading the brochure,
online help, Web site, or taking the class? What are the job-related
needs that our communication will support?
-
Design and architect the communication
as user-centered; not product-centered. All training, marketing and
technical documentation is designed with the end user and audience in
mind—not merely the product
being written about.
-
Determine the best media and delivery
format for the specific audience/user. By understanding the
audience/user we get a sense of how they work and what works best for
them, which translates into what format the communication should take—should
it be an instructor-led class or online training; a user guide or a
multimedia demonstration; a marketing brochure or a Web site—the
format and delivery should suit the audience.
-
Test the deliverables. When your
deliverable is complete we test it to make sure that it meets our
standards and your goals.
Zuchero
Communications also has experience and training in developing communication
deliverables using the methods of Information Mapping™, Clear English, and
Information Architecture.
